CNC engraving

During processing, the last stage may be marking the part, assigning an identification number, or making a decorative element in the form of e.g. a company logo. We can use milling engraving for this type of tasks. Machining the tool will leave a permanent mark on the surface of the material, so it will not seize or fade as it can be in the case of laser engraving.

In the milling engraving process, the selection of the tool and its working parameters have a significant impact on quality and durability. For engraving we use cutters with different geometry, depending on the type of workpiece and the element we want to engrave. Thanks to this, the engraving is durable and clear on the surface.

We can engrave on flat surfaces using 2.5D operations. More advanced engraving on free surfaces will be provided by 3 or even 4 or 5 axis smooth operations. To program and execute such paths it will be necessary to use the highest class CAM program and a suitable machine. In our case, this is done using the CAMWorks program and the DMG MORI DMU 75 monoBLOCK machine.
